Specialty amino resins as curing agents for industrial coatings:
The current products of Nikfam Research International company include n-butylated melamine formaldehyde resins. The said are suitable for application as curing agents in automotive O.E.M. coatings, general industrial coatings and automotive refinish coatings. These binder systems were carefully engineered and designed in our R&D department based on the requirements and expected properties specified by major local industrial paint manufacturers. Our specialty coating binders are supplied under the brand name of Nikobind. 1- Nikobind 7357 NBu 70
Nikobind 7357 NBu70 is our universal, highly recommended and top seller n-butylated melamine formaldehyde resin system. It is suitable for application as curing agent in different types of stoving automotive O.E.M. coatings including primer surfacer, base coat and clear coat. It is also suitable for application in general industrial coatings as well as automotive refinish coatings. The technical data sheet of Nikobind 7357 NBu 70 is provided in the following;
Application : general purpose curing agent for stoving industrial and automotive O.E.M. coatings, to be used in combination with hydroxyl functional binder systems such as saturated polyester resins, alkyd resins and thermosetting acrylic resins.
Major characteristics: wide compatibility with a range of commonly used resins in industrial coatings inclusive of alkyds, saturated polyesters, acrylics, epoxies, etc... high film hardness, excellent mechanical, chemical and petrol resistance properties.

2- Nikobind 7318 NBu 70
Nikobind 7318 NBu 70 is our specially designed n-butylated melamine resin for stoving automotive O.E.M. clear coats. This curing agent imparts little to no yellowing to the cured film of the clear coat during the baking process. While it is recommended for application in automotive O.E.M. clear coats, it can also be used in other types of automotive O.E.M. coatings as well as in general industrial and automotive refinish coatings. Application : recommended as curing agent for stoving automotive O.E.M. clear coats due its low yellowing tendency during the baking process. Can also be used in other types of automotive O.E.M. coatings and general industrial coatings. Must be used in combination with hydroxyl functional binder systems such as thermosetting acrylic resins and saturated polyester resins.
Major characteristics: low yellowing of the resulting cured coating film particularly if used in clear coats, very good compatibility with a range of commonly used resins in industrial coatings inclusive of acrylics, saturated polyesters, epoxies, alkyds etc... high film hardness, excellent mechanical, chemical and petrol resistance properties.
